"The love for Bharatanatyam makes Shanmuga Sundaram explore new themes for his performances.
A senior disciple of guru K. J. Sarasa, Shanmuga Sundaram got inspired by the sculptures of the famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin.
Amour, which means love in French, is an attempt by dancer Shanmuga Sundaram, to explore the delicate nuances of love as portrayed by sculptor Rodin. He will express his perceptions of the sculptor through Bharatanatyam.
This thematic dance performance was staged earlier for Alliance Francaise, Pondicherry and Madras in August this year.
Shanmugha Sundaram will present this again this season at the Bharat Kalachar on Jan. 11, 2008"
